Barely visible through the high bush grass of Africa's Phinda Reserve, a phantom panther hides out in ghostly silence.

This feline mirage is a solitary predator and master of camouflage, making her hard to spot and even harder to study.

This DVD follows the efforts of two young South African scientists as they attempt to track leopards and study their habits in a bid to protect their falling numbers.

Tracking leopards is dangerous work, not only can they vanish without a trace but every year humans are killed by getting a little too familiar with these big cats.
