I had never seen on television or video a film that actually gave the correct feel of clay shooting. My initial reaction when asked to do this programme was to refuse. I was sure it would not show what I as a coach wanted it to show. What had always been missing on shooting programmes is the actual 'how it is done'. This is what I wanted above all else to be correct.
Condensed into the programme is part of two days normal routine at Shalden Shooting School, warts and all. It was hard work, but a lot of fun making this first programme of the series. Looking at the finished product, I am delighted with it.
This is Shooting as it really is and the simulated pheasant drive is really as much fun as it looks.
