Duncan Edwards had every attribute necessary to become the complete footballer; naturally blessed with size, speed, control, power and courage, wonderful in the air, superb ball control and touch, a stunning exponent of the cross-field pass - with distance no object, a ferocious shot with either foot, he was world class when his team had the ball and their best player when the opponents had it.
...And Then Came Munich and the prodigious talent of Duncan Edwards, the definitive all-round player who would have no doubt been up there with greats such as Pele, Beckenbauer and Cruyff was cruelly snatched away from the footballing world perhaps remains the saddest legacy of Munich.
Narrated by Nick Owen. With contributions from Sir Walter Winterbottom CBE, Fred Brookes, Tommy Docherty, Sir Tom Finney, Bill Foukes, Bert Hill, Derek Kevan, and Wilf McGuiness.
