LEOMINSTER WORKING DAY & SHERWOOD FOREST PLOUGHING MATCH 2005

The Leominster Working Day started out as an event for club members but now welcomes all comers.

The 2005 event attracted 55 working exhibits including three working binders and a 1910 Clayton and Shuttleworth threshing drum.

Held towards the end of November at Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire the Sherwood Forest Vintage Ploughing Match continues to grow in popularity.

The 2005 event attracted 180 entrants but poor weather further north prevented a number of them from attending. The event is held on light land that will plough whatever the weather.

Once again the event atracted a wide variety of vintage tractors, crawlers and horticultural equipment, including Alan Turner's rare E27N on spoked wheels.
