MILBANK TRUCK SHOW AND THE GREAT WEST RUN 2005

Milbank Trucks sponsor the East Anglia HCVS Run and Gathering at Earl's Colne, Sussex. Around twenty vehicles gathered at Knowles Transport, Wimblington for the 90 mile Run to East Colne.

A wide range of commercial vehicles are shown at the eighth and final show to be held at Earl's Colne.

The Great West Run starts at Aust Services next to the old Severn Bridge and then takes a 75 mile tour around the southern edge of the Cotswolds to the historic Gloucester Docks. The southern edge of the Cotswolds are heavily wooded and the route planners took the participants from sea level to 700 feet above sea level three times.

A large number of classic cars take part and whilst not deliberately recorded it is nice to see some 'period' traffic with the commercial vehicles. The climbs, drops, twists and turns of this route make overtaking virtually impossible but it is one of the prettiest routes there is.
