SIR NIGEL GRESLEY
ON THE MAINLINE

We're on the footplate as the streamlined 1930s classic locomotive Sir Nigel Gresley faces a demanding test run to gain approval to run on the railway network. Then we'll join her for a nostalgic return trip to King's Cross - and a emotional reunion with three of her A4 sisters in York.

With unique footplate access and spectacular aerial photography there's also a fascinating bonus feature on Sir Nigel Gresley's four year restoration at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway - and footage of the NYMR's unique A4 Festival.

It's an exciting 90 minute trip with some of the true legends of steam including Bittern, Union Of South Africa, Green Arrow and Flying Scotsman.

There are great mainline performances, too, from Oliver Cromwell and Scots Guardsman as well as breathaking aerial footage of Princess Elizabeth on the Settle Carlisle Railway.
