THE AYRSHIRE ROAD RUN 2007

Starting from Low Green, Ayr, this two-day run around South Ayrshire and parts of Dumfries and Galloway just gets better and better. Whilst the start, overnight stop and finish are the same each year, the route is varied from year to year.

Ayr's proximity to the ferry port of Stranraer enables a strong Irish entry, with twelve vehicles making the crossing for the 2007 Run. Vehicles ranged from a 1930's Albion MS550 to a 1988 Bedford TL former Army driver training vehicle.

Morris, Seddon, Atkinson, Ford, Volvo, Thonycroft, ERF, Commer, Scania, Foden, Leyland, Austin, Scammell, BMC, Volkswagen and AEC were all represented.

Great weather, terrific scenery, lots of fast running and a fabulous soundtrack make this a 'must have' for vintage and classic commercial enthusiasts.
