A whimsical odyssey across rural England as author and broadcaster Nigel Farrell decides to escape the frustrations of the city and sets off in an old Morris Minor in search of the perfect village. The task isn't quite as easy as he'd imagined - his journey takes him to the beautiful villages of Bosham in Sussex; Lacock in Wiltshire; Drewsteignton in Devon; Finchingfield in Essex; and Coneysthorpe in North Yorkshire - but 2,000 miles after setting off from London, and just as he's beginning to think there's no such village, Nigel at last stumbles upon the most peaceful idyll of all - and in a place he least expects it.
