CHESHIRE RING

We cruise clockwise around the Cheshire Ring from Hardings Wood Junction, including visits to Runcorn, Leigh and Bugsworth Basin.

Starting with the descent of Heartbreak Hill we're soon cruising along the Cheshire Plain before climbing the Rochdale Nine, Ashton and Marple Flights.

Highlights include the glorious scenery of the Upper Peak Forest and Macclesfield Canals, and passing over and under the Poole Aqueduct.

We pass the Anderton Lift, and see the whole of the lock free Bridgewater Canal, including crossing the Barton Swing Aqueduct.
