Carriage Driving enjoys a high international reputation. This film shows beginners all the things that have to be taken into account when training a young horse. Most leisure drivers, and also most future competition drivers, no longer grow up in a milieu where horses are taken for granted. Driving lessons are therefore no longer simply a matter of drumming in the correct grips.

The first part of this film is concerned with the training of the young horse, starting with the double lunge and going on to the first time he is hitched up, alone or as one of a pair. The film is then rounded off with a tour of the harness-room.
