In the Autumn of 2007, a two-day run was organised to honour the memory of a man known as 'Gentleman Jim'.

Around 50 vehicles ran from York to Scarboro' and back via Sutton-on-the-Forest, the North Yorkshire Moors and Whitby.

Jim Beresford and his team devised a terrific route which included a long 1:6 uphill pull on the B1249 towards Foxholes. Harry McNeill brought his ex Jim Clarke 1951 ERF over from Co. Antrim and Alf Sharrett brought along his ex Jim Clarke 1951 ERR Ex Jim Beresford 1965 Foden 524, now owned by Douggie Williamson, is seen climbing at speed and producing the best Foden two-stroke sound we have ever recorded.

The weather was not so kind to the organisers of The Great West Road Run. The Run started at Michaelwood Services, on the M5, and finished at Chepstow having travelled via Gloucester and the Forest of Dean. This event is open to motorbikes, cars, buses, military, light and heavy commercials and attracts around 90 entrants.
